HISTORIA

Dziwna jest ta płyta. I nie chodzi mi wcale o to, że różni się od dotychczasowych dokonań Closterkellera jakiego znam od dawien dawna. Stylistycznie jest rockowo, choć widać bardzo duży wpływ zmieniającego się świata i otoczenia. Odbieram te płytę jako wydawnictwo mające na celu zainteresowanie twórczością zespołu ludzi, którzy go nie znają. Wiem z opowieści przyjaciół, że wielu z nich, słuchających ’starego’ Closterkellera odsunęło się troszkę od zespołu po przesłuchaniu tej płytki. Dla tych co znaja zespół od dłuższego czasu, pierwszym symptomem inności zapewne będzie (przynajmniej dla mnie tak było) tytuł płyty. Przyzwyczajony do ’kolorowych’ tytułów: PURPLE, CYAN, VIOLET, BLUE, itd, tutaj coś zacząłem podejrzewać, choć podobny motyw pojawił się już podczas wydania mini-

Koncertowy i pożegnalny album grupy Fields Of The Nephilim w pierwszym składzie, wydany w 1991 roku.

Materiał został zarejestrowany podczas trzech koncertów trasy promocyjnej albumu Elizium: 6 X 1990 w Brixton Academy, 4 VIII 1990 w Wolverhampton Civic Centre i 6 XI 1990 w Hamburg Sportshalle.

Bardzo dobry debiut i dwa znakomite albumy. Panowie z Fields of the Nephilim mieli świat u stóp. W ówczesnym okresie twórczym mogli dokonać ósmego cudu świata i przebić "Elizium". Tak jednak się nie stało i wcale nie dlatego, że skończyły im się pomysły na granie. Powód był bardziej prozaiczny - narastające konflikty personalne doprowadziły do rozpadu zespołu. Na otarcie łez pozostała wieńcząca ówczesny rozdział koncertówka "Earth Inferno".

Otarcie łez ma w tym momencie ambiwalentny charakter. B
