Przyszedł czas na napisanie kilku słów o płycie, którą trudno nazwać kolejnym wydawnictwem Eloy. Niby na okładce pojawia się charakterystyczne logo zespołu, ale obecność zaledwie trzech (do tego nie pierwszoplanowych) jego członków oraz przede wszystkim charakter i forma krążka budzą już wątpliwości oraz skrajne emocje i w ostatecznym rozrachunku trudno „Codename: Wildgeese” brać na poważnie.

Poza tym muzyka filmowa rządzi się innymi prawami. Nie chodzi tylko o słynne „bronienie się muzyki bez towarzyszenia obrazu” (wspomniałem już o tym bodajże przy recenzji ścieżki dźwiękowej do „Fortepianu”), ale również i to, iż w przypadku wykonawcy, dla którego styczność z rzeczoną formą muzyczną jest pierwszą w jego dyskografii (do tego kogoś z tak bogatą historią jak Eloy), udział w podobnym projekcie jest posunięciem co najmniej niecodziennym...
