Therapy? has never been one of those bands who are afraid to leave their comfort zone and even through commercial and creative highs and lows has band never set the autopilot of the commercially safe approach on.

Back in 1995, after the commercial success of Troublegum, the band released Infernal Love, which was as far from simple formula of its predecessor as possible. After number of line-up changes the band found its ground in 2004 as a three-piece consisting of original members Andy J. Cairns on guitars/vocals and Michael McKeegan on bass and the new drummer Neil Cooper. Since then the band has released three very strong records, beginning with blistering Never Apologise Never Explain and concluding in 2009 with one of their strongest releases ever, the experimental, Crooked Timber.

- I oto nadszedł bodaj najważniejszy dzień w historii prog-rocka. 10 pażdziernika 1969. Dzień, w którym ukazały się aż trzy płyty, stanowiące kanon gatunku. „Arthur” Kinksów, debiut King Crimson i druga solowa płyta Franka Zappy.

- No właśnie. Gdy ukazał się “Uncle Meat”, Mamusiek już de facto nie było. Oficjalnie poszło o kasę – wszak płyty Zappy bestsellerami nie były – a nieoficjalnie o napięcia wewnętrzne. W pewnym momencie panowie chcieli nawet wywalić Franka z zespołu, bo oni lubili sobie przyćpać, a on tego nie tolerował; a ciągle mieli pretensje, bo rządził zespołem dyktatorsko i bardzo okazjonalnie dopuszczał kompozycje kolegów; bo nawet nie chciał nocować na trasie w tym samym hotelu co reszta. Six Feet Under okazał się zespołem, który lubi zaskoczyć i to pod kilkoma względami. Najpierw nagrali specyficzną płytę z coverami „Graveyard Classics”, która mi się na przykład podobała, ale wywołała mieszane uczucia, a następnie ukazał się ich czwarty własny album „True Carnage”, na którym czekały nas kolejne niespodzianki.

Nie jest to płyta ani szybka, ani mocna i tak naprawdę to nawet ciężka nie jest. Bardzo niskie brzmienie, szczególnie wokalu, robi pozorny kamuflaż, bo instrumentalnie zazwyczaj niewiele się tu dzieje. Muzyka jest bardzo prosta i przerzedzona, jakby zbudowana z klocków Duplo. Atutów trzeba szukać głównie w barwie, otoczce i kompozycjach, choć, moim zdaniem, te są słabsze niż na „Maximum Violence”. Na pewno pod względem melodyki wokalu wyróżnia się „The Day The Dead Walked”, ale to znacznie mniej niż na poprzedniej płycie. Six Feet Under okazał się zespołem, który lubi zaskoczyć i to pod kilkoma względami. I still feel amazed by the quality and passion, which so many new death metal bands deliver, when they play the old styled sounds like 1990 only just began. Really, would you expect three years ago to hear such amazing bands as Disma, Father Befouled, Invidious, Miasmal and so many more? I guess no, but this is why the bigger is my enthusiasm for this never ending wave of old school death metal zombies. Every month I find about new band or release and some time ago I got interested in Cruciamentum. Niedawno zastanawiałem się nad dziwnymi ruchami Wolfa Hoffmanna pod szyldem tego, co zostało z Accept. Dziś z odmętów niepamięci powróciły pytania o to, dlaczego brakowało Udo Dirkschneidera na płycie formacji z Solingen, zatytułowanej “Blood Of The Nations”? Był to album powrotny po około dekadzie niebytu. Nowy wokalista, grający ze starym składem, budził moje zdziwienie. Pojawiły się też różne wypowiedzi herszta tej ekipy, Wolfa Hoffmanna, m.in. o tym, jak to Udo psuł atmosferę w zespole. Podobno dlatego był jedynym członkiem klasycznego składu Accept, który nie uczestniczył w pracach nad ostatnim, w pełni udanym albumem tej formacji, wspomnianym już “Blood Of The Nations” (Tak, wiem że “Stalingrad” też był bardzo dobry, ale nie w stu procentach. Stąd takie słowa).

E.C. was here is a concert recording. I was able to see Clapton in this tour. It is a well recorded CD and shows you where he was at this point in his career. "Have you ever loved a woman" is first and has some wonderful guitar licks. It has always been one of my favorite Clapton songs. Next he pulls out the classic Blind Faith song,"Prescence of the Lord. This version he sings with Yvonne Elliman on vocals. It lacks the punch of the Bling Faith version. Next is the standard "Driftin" which on the orignal versions was shortened. On the newer versions they have included the entire recording. The song basically has an accoustic phase and an electric phase. Again it show Clapton playing as he did at that time. His guitar work although very solid was not as good as he was with Cream or later in his career. "Cant find my way home" is sung as a duet with Elliman again. Again the song lacks any real punch. Even the guitar solo is not C

Odkrycie nieznanych nagrań Johna Coltrane`a, zarejestrowanych 55 lat temu przez Rudy`ego Van Geldera, okazało się sensacją, która zainteresowała nie tylko miłośników jazzu. Tuż po premierze "zaginiony album" uplasował się na pierwszej pozycji listy magazynu "Billboard" i okupuje to miejsce od siedmiu tygodni.

Rzeczywiście o tych nagraniach Johna Coltrane`a zapomniała wytwórnia Impulse, ale szczęśliwie taśmy zachowały się w dobrym stanie w zbiorach pamiątek przechowywanych przez pierwszą żonę Johna - Naimę.
