Tinariwen to tuaregski zespół muzyczny pochodzący z regionu Sahary (głównie północ Mali, Azawad), założony na przełomie lat 70. i 80. przez Ibrahima Ag Alhabiba oraz innych muzyków związanych z kulturą nomadów Tuaregów. Uważani są za pionierów gatunku desert blues, łączącego tradycyjną muzykę Sahary z gitarowym brzmieniem inspirowanym bluesem i rockiem. Ich twórczość charakteryzują hipnotyczne, transowe gitary oraz teksty dotyczące wolności, życia nomadów, wygnania i konfliktów w regionie. Zespół odegrał również rolę w ruchach społeczno-politycznych Tuaregów, a część jego członków była zaangażowana w działania zbrojne lub zmuszona do emigracji. Międzynarodowy rozgłos zdobyli w latach 2000., szczególnie po albumie Aman Iman: Water Is Life (2007), a nagrodę Grammy otrzymali za Tassili (2011).
