Koncert został zarejestrowany w opuszczonym kościele we wrześniu 2020 roku i był transmitowany jako livestream, wyznaczając absolutnie nowe standardy dla tego typu eventów.
Podczas zrealizowanego przez Grupę 13 show, Behemoth zaprezentował najważniejsze utwory ze swojej dotychczasowej kariery. Całość została podzielona na cztery części, podczas których nie zabrakło spektakularnych efektów specjalnych i teatralnych. To trzeba koniecznie zobaczyć!

“In Absentia Dei” or without the presence of God. That’s the tittle of Behemoth’s new effort. The album is one more effort done to avoid the strikiong effects of the pandemic around the world which had its nefarious effects throughout the world of music.

At first listening the album is grand and it does a great effect on the listener even if one doesn’t like or has never heard the band. It is a colossal Black Metal work or as mastermind and axeman Nergal says Black Metal magic. The kind of Black Metal that really imposes its black presence. The album sounds magnificent. Just the opposite early Black Metal albums were. I keep on saying that because the difference is absurd. The distance from lofi productions of early Black Metal compared to the grandiose of this album there are zillion miles away. A thing that remains intact is the blasphemy and the all the disdain and hatred Nergal and his fold have for everything that is related to all organized religions. It also shows that Black Metal is a living thing with many facets and, yet, points of view.

It’s fun to think that from the most Catholic places in the world come the most virulent Black metal bands. It’s no coincidence at all. Just a response as the wrold moves in a dialectic way. The contents in this “In Absentia Dei” and its nineteen tracks show that exactly. The outcome is virulent as only Behemoth can be. This grand production allows the fan to listen clearly to all instruments of the band and, mostly, the impressive voice of Nergal. It also allows the fan to get to know better all instrumental moves that the band does throughout the album and how mesmerizing and hypnotic Behemoth can be. The album alternates furious and striking fast paced tracks with more moody ones in a clashing outcoming. One thing that the band really knows how to do is to create an absolute fantastic and overwhelming atmosphere of hatred and pain.
“In Absentia Dei” shows all Behemoth’s controvertial career – as all Black Metal bands have to be. Well, all Metal bands have to be. It’s a clear defy to all powers that be – again as all Black Metal bands have to be. Well, all Metal bands have to be. Metal music has to be annoying to all people that believe they are in any superior to the rest of humankind.
