Chociaż za najważniejszy punkt w karierze Freda Fritha uważa się współtworzenie słynnego zespołu Henry Cow, który istniał pomiędzy 1968 a 1998 rokiem, Frith wciąż pozostał aktywny na scenie muzycznej. Jego charakterystyczną grę o folkowo-rockowych korzeniach mogliśmy podziwiać między innymi w zespołach Art Bears, Massacre, Skeleton Crew, Keep the Dog, Fred Firth Guitar Quartet i Cosa Brava.

Fred Frith provides a complex and fascinating soundtrack for the second film he made with Nicolas Humbert and Werner Penzel--"Middle of the Moment"--merging his guitar work, field recordings, and environment sound, with additional help from Tim Hodgkinson, as the film and music follow nomadic people in their travels, their songs, and the sounds they experience.
