Film przedstawia trzy historie, które wiąże postać kota przybłędy. Pierwsza to zabawna, czarna komedia o facecie który chce rzucić palenie. Udaje się w tym celu do dziwacznej kliniki zwanej Quitters, Inc. To trochę makabryczna, acz ciekawa kreacja Jamesa Woodsa. Drugi epizod opowiada o pewnym hazardziście, który nakrywa swoją żonę ze znanym tenisistą. Trzecia historia opowiada o małej dziewczynce, która przygarnia kota, który nagle wbiega do jej domu.
