On the whole, this is an admirable Rigoletto. Leo Nucci recently made news for having sung the title role 400 times, and there's no question that he knows Verdi's jester inside out – this is a detailed, nuanced portrayal that both excites and makes one weep. Marrabantea, the popular music of Mozambique, is a style which can encompass a lot, and it shows just how much in the first two tracks of this disc. Singer Wazimbo is in glorious form on the starkly simple "Nwahulwana"; it's just voice and guitar, a lovely piece that was used in the soundtrack of the Hollywood movie The Pledge. But from such a beautiful beginning, Wazimbo and Orchestra Star Marrabenta de Mocambique careen into "Parabens," a track that ends up sounding like nothing more than a bad attempt at alternative rock. But all these tracks were recorded (in Harare, Zimbabwe) in 1988, before alternative rock even had a name. It's all marrabenta, and as the rest of the album shows, it can take in a lot, like "Magumba," whose debt to both Memphis soul and South African jit is apparent in the horn arrangements. Palestrina was born in the town of Palestrina, near Rome, then part of the Papal States. Documents suggest that he first visited Rome in 1537, when he is listed as a chorister at the Santa Maria Maggiore basilica. He studied with Robin Mallapert and Firmin Lebel. Ponownie nagrane znane i lubiane utwory z repertuaru Luxtorpedy w zupełnie nowych aranżacjach. Nowe oblicze Luxów można nazwać "ELEKTRO".

Do nagrań zaproszono gości: DJ.BRK współproducenta płyty oraz sekcję dętą: Tomasz mazur, Józef Zatwarnicki, Dominik Szeszo. Nad nowym aranżem do utworu "Wilki dwa" czuwał Henryk "Henio" Friedrich, który stworzył bity i muzyczną oprawę. Wlepki oraz naszywkę na koszulki zaprojektował "Eskaer".

Okładka płyty to zasługa od lat współpracującego z zespołem Macieja "Zucha" Mazurka, który dzięki niesamowitym zdjęciom Adama Polańskiego, Bruno Friedricha i DJa BRK stworzył doskonała ilustrację do kosmicznej muzyki.

Ponownie nagrane znane i lubiane utwory z repertuaru Luxtorpedy w zupełnie nowych aranżacjach. Nowe oblicze Luxów można nazwać "ELEKTRO".

Do nagrań zaproszono gości: DJ.BRK współproducenta płyty oraz sekcję dętą: Tomasz mazur, Józef Zatwarnicki, Dominik Szeszo. Nad nowym aranżem do utworu "Wilki dwa" czuwał Henryk "Henio" Friedrich, który stworzył bity i muzyczną oprawę. Wlepki oraz naszywkę na koszulki zaprojektował "Eskaer".

Okładka płyty to zasługa od lat współpracującego z zespołem Macieja "Zucha" Mazurka, który dzięki niesamowitym zdjęciom Adama Polańskiego, Bruno Friedricha i DJa BRK stworzył doskonała ilustrację do kosmicznej muzyki.

Płyta została nagrana i zmiksowana przez Michała Wasyla w studio Okolitza w Poznaniu.
