Oingo Boingo to amerykańska formacja new wave, stworzona przez autora tekstów Danny'ego Elfmana w 1979 roku. Oingo Boingo powstało z surrealistycznej sztuki teatralnej, The Mystic Knights of the Oingo Boingo, założonej w 1972 roku i kierowanej przez brata Danny'ego Elfmana, Richarda Elfmana.
Oingo Boingo byli znani z koncertów na żywo i eksperymentalnej muzyki, które można określić jako mieszanie muzyki rockowej, ska, pop i world. Ta eklektyczna mieszanka stylów wpłynie ostatecznie na zespoły tak zróżnicowane, jak Fishbone, Nirvana i Mr. Bungle. Prace zespołu obejmowały 17 lat, z różnymi zmianami w gatunku i składzie.
