Płyty te odniosły wielki sukces w Wielkiej Brytanii. W pracy z syntezatorami inspirowała go muzyka elektroniczna, w tym new wave i techno. Ole Ole był popularnym hiszpańskim zespołem synthpopowym z lat 80-tych. Grupa przeszła przez trzy fazy popularności w dużej mierze pokrywające się z obecnością w składzie trzech różnych wokalistek. Zespół zaczynał w składzie z piosenkarką Vicky Larraz (1982-1985). Po tym, jak Larraz opuściła zespół, jej następczynią została Marta Sanchez (1986-1991) w latach, które przyniosły rosnący sukces w Ameryce Łacińskiej. Sanchez również opuściła zespół, a na jej miejsce zjawiła się Sonia Santana (1992-1993).
