Midnight Oil to australijski zespół muzyczny założony w Sydney w 1972 roku. Nazwa grupy wywodzi się od dwóch angielskich powiedzeń Burn The Midnight Oil (co oznacza "uczyć się, pracować do późna w nocy") oraz Smells Of The Midnight Oil (określenia na skomplikowaną językowo poezję, bogatą w różnego typu aluzje i odniesienia do innych utworów). W początkowym okresie działalności, zespół grał rocka alternatywnego. W drugiej połowie lat 80. zmienił kierunek w stronę pop-rocka. Wylansował jeden przebój na skalę międzynarodową - Beds Are Burning pochodzący z albumu Diesel and Dust. Inne znane utwory zespołu to m.in. Blue Sky Mine, The Dead Heart. Crosby, Stills & Nash - amerykańska supergrupa folkrockowa. Zespół został założony w 1969 przez trzech znanych wokalistów folkowych: Amerykanów Davida Crosby'ego, występującego wcześniej w grupie Byrds i Stephena Stillsa, założyciela grupy Buffalo Springfield oraz Brytyjczyka Grahama Nasha, współzałożyciela grupy The Hollies. Okresowo dołączał do nich kolega Stillsa z Buffalo Springfield – Kanadyjczyk Neil Young. Grupa w swoich trzech konfiguracjach była jednym z najpopularniejszym zespołów w USA w latach siedemdziesiątych. Od początku nie uniknęli ogromnego zainteresowania mediów, które widziały w nich kolejną supergrupę, lecz w przeciwieństwie do innych formacji tego okresu byli zespołem muzyków szanujących swoje indywidualne dokonania. Carlos Humberto Santana Barragán (Spanish: [.karlos sanˈtana] (listen); born July 20, 1947) is an American guitarist who rose to fame in the late 1960s and early 1970s with his band Santana, which pioneered a fusion of rock 'n' roll and Latin American jazz. Its sound featured his melodic, blues-based lines set against Latin American and African rhythms played on percussion instruments not generally heard in rock, such as timbales and congas. He experienced a resurgence of popularity and critical acclaim in the late 1990s. In 2015, Rolling Stone magazine listed him at No. 20 on their list of the 100 greatest guitarists. He has won 10 Grammy Awards and three Latin Grammy Awards, and was inducted along with his namesake band into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.
