The band formed in 2007 in Gothenburg, Sweden. Their music mostly consists of only drums, various percussions and vocals. Mariam Wallentin have also played the stringintrument cittre, used pump-organs and played the steel-pan.

The band released their first album Heartcore in 2008, and were awarded with Årets Jazz i Sverige, Swedish Jazz Act of the Year, and this gave them finances for the recording of their second album, The Snake, which came out in 2009.

The band got critical acclaim after their first album, and in the summer of 2008 they had their first US tour and played at several festivals in Europe. They have also been support for acts such as Deerhoof, Efterklang, Bonnie 'Prince' Billy, Lykke Li and St. Vincent.

Night was a band that originally came together under the name Filthy McNasty in 1979. The band was originally pulled together by former Manfred Mann's Earthband vocalist Chris Thompson following his split from the Earthband in 1979 following the recording of the album Angel Station. Another key member of the band was vocalist Stevie Lange who was an in demand session vocalist and had sang on sessions for the Earthband. Another member of the band was guitarist Robbie McIntosh who had previously been a member of the Foster Brothers a band that released one album for Elton John's Rocket Records label.

The other members of the band were bassist Billy Kristian and keyboardist Derek Austin. At the point of the band becoming Night Nicky Hopkins was probably one of the most famous members having played with The Rolling Stones on many albums not to mention albums from John Lennon and George Harrison amongst many others. Exodus wydając "Bonded By Blood" mocno zaznaczył swoja obecność na thrash metalowej scenie. Co tu dużo mówić... Płyta była po prostu świetna i ekipa Garego Holta na zawsze zdobyła sobie miejsce wśród gwiazd metalowego panteonu. Wkrótce jednak zaczęło się dziać w kapeli źle. Niesnaski i nieporozumienia skończyły się kolejnymi przemeblowaniami w składzie. Tym razem z zespołu wyrzucony został Paul Baloff - wokalista i frontman, bez którego, zdawałoby się, kapela nie ma prawa istnieć. Paul będzie jeszcze kilkakrotnie wracał do Exodus, by ostatecznie opuścić go na zawsze w 2002 roku (R.I.P.). Szybko znaleziono nowego krzykacza, którym został Steve Sousa znany z Legacy (późniejszy Testament). Wybór był niezwykle trafny. Zetro ze swoim charakterystycznym skrzeczącym wokalem niezwykle łatwo wpasował się w muzykę grana przez Exodus. Będzie użyczał swojego głosu na pięciu kolejnych długograjach ekipy z Kalifornii.
