Nawet, jeśli nazwa Nekromantheon nie wydaje się szczególnie znajoma, fakt, że zespół składa się w 2/3 z muzyków Obliteration powinien już być wystarczającą rekomendacją do zapoznania się z "Rise, Vulcan Spectre".

Obliteration, wypuszczając trzy lata temu "Nekropsalms", na którym wyjątkowo umiejętnie nawiązał do obskurnego death metalu spod znaku Autopsy, wywołał sporo zamieszania wśród wszystkich miłośników oldschoola, zniesmaczonych współczesnym, zbyt plastikowym obliczem gatunku. Tymczasem, wokalista i gitarzysta tej formacji, Sindre Solem, oraz drugi wiosłowy Arlid Myren Torp, już od siedmiu lat działają w Nekromantheon, a "Rise, Vulcan Spectre" to druga płyta wydana pod tym szyldem. Nekromantheon funkcjonuje jako trio, Solem przesiadł się na bas, a skład uzupełnia perkusista Christian "Kick" Holm.

Hore to stosunkowo nowy projekt muzyczny powstały w 2018 roku. Muzycy, choć doświadczeni i pochodzący ze znanych zespołów, postanowili nie podawać żadnych danych osobowych.
Przez ostatnie trzy lata muzycy powoli przygotowywali swój debiutancki materiał. The fact that Chris from Fucking Kill Records has a good taste and at the same time a real talent for decent Death Metal releases is something that he has proven for years. The latest band in the roster that caught my attention is the Canadian duo Altered Dead whose new album Returned To Life will be released in February. The guys have taken 5 years to present us their new full length, which they seem to have used extensively. With this record you can look forward to a crusty driven offshoot of the genre, beaten in somewhere between the old Swedish days and well known American bands of the 90’s. This release delivers ten merciless fist bumps that you can’t get enough from regarding its high instrumental quality.

Dutch black metal isn’t something that you hear about a lot, but it does have its gems – not least the incredible Urfaust. This duo’s distinct take on the genre is fascinating, not least for the vocals, which depart from the typical shrieks and howls in favour of what is a demented form of Gregorian chanting, very, very wrong and disturbing. The opening track Vom Gesicht und Rätsel is a perfect example. Vocalist (and guitarist and keyboardist) IX sounds utterly insane, a mad monk directing a symphony of the night, utterly in keeping with the traditional black metal atmosphere despite the music being far from the stereotypical icy blizzard. It’s a melodic mixture of ‘medieval’ black metal with doom and ambience, a distinctly audible bass providing wonderful backing. O Ela, straciłaś przyjaciela – dziś nucą to wszyscy, młodsi i starsi, choć niewielu zna historię zespołu, który na stałe wpisał się do kanonu polskiego rocka.

Miał niespełna 35 lat, gdy doszło do tragicznego w skutkach wypadku samochodowego. Bogdan Łyszkiewicz doznał poważnych obrażeń, zmarł w szpitalu. I nagle jakby świat się zatrzymał. Fani długo nie mogli pogodzić się ze śmiercią lidera zespołu Chłopców z Placu Broni.

Był 2015 rok – upływała właśnie 15. rocznica śmierci lidera zespołu. Formed in the summer of 1990 in Liverpool (also home to THE BEATLES), by Daniel Cavanagh (guitarist). Their original line-up was: Darren White (vocals), Vincent Cavanagh (guitars), Daniel Cavanagh (guitars), Jamie Cavanagh (bass), and John Dougals (percussion), under the moniker PAGAN ANGEL. Since then, there's been too many line-up changes to mention here, although Vincent, Daniel, and John have all maintained status in the band, except Daniel briefly in 2002 (click on the album's for more line-up INFOrmation). They would release one demo and then change their name to ANATHEMA. They released two more demo's and then were discovered by Hammy of Peaceville Records, who signed them.
