Oficjalna reedycja pierwszej i jedynej płyty kultowego zespołu Miecz Wikinga. Po 17 latach od premiery materiał doczekał się wreszcie wydania na CD z prawdziwego zdarzenia.

Wersja deluxe ściśle limitowana do 200 szt. Zawiera obwolutę, naszywkę z logo zespołu oraz bonusowy CD z niepublikowanymi nigdy nagraniami utworów, które nie trafiły na "Grona Gniewu".


Miecz Wikinga to niemłody zespół, który łatwo nie miał. Pochodzący z niewielkiego miasteczka i grający heavy metal, w kraju i czasach, gdzie w dużej mierze wręcz nim gardzono. Mimo to załoga radziła sobie jakoś i stworzyła wokół siebie nieco szumu, a materiał, jaki nagrała w 2003 roku, noszący Grona Gniewu, dorobił się gdzieniegdzie statusu kultowego. Tym bardziej cieszy mnie, że znalazła się wytwórnia, która postanowiła wznowić dzieło Miecza po raz pierwszy na tłoczonym dysku (polecam wersję w czerwonym pudełku). Po wydaniu płyty "Chameleon" z grupy Helloween odszedł wokalista Michael Kiske. Wtedy myślałem, że będzie koniec z zespołem, że nie znajdą kogoś kto mógłby dorównać Michaelowi. Wszak to co robił na "Keeperach" i "Pink..." to niemal mistrzostwo świata. Ale panowie znaleźli Andiego Derisa i był to strzał w dziesiątkę. Deris jest kapitalnym wokalistą, momentami nawet lepszy od Kiskego (już słyszę obelgi pod moim adresem). W 1994 roku ukazał się pierwszy krążek z Andym na wokalu - "Master Of The Rings". Moim skromnym zdaniem jest to najlepszy album Helloween nagrany w latach 90. Poprzednie dwa to było świetne granie, późniejsze również, ale wg mnie to właśnie "Master..." jest najlepszy. Oczywiście nie porównuje się do przecudownych "Keeperów" i "Jericho".

Po odpaleniu płytki wita nas całkiem fajne, podniosłe intro a zaraz potem "Sole Survivor", strzał prosto w twarz, zwłaszcza to kostkowanie w zwrotkach robi niezłe wrażenie. Dalej mamy troszeczkę szybszy "Where The Rain
