Kult się skończył. I cześć. Tak mogłaby się zakończyć ta recenzja. No, ale pomyślałem o tym na początku, więc na początku się znalazło. Niestety. Teraz jestem równie ciekawy, co zaniepokojony, jak się ona zakończy.

Ja wiem, że Kult to zgrana paczka kolesi, która od lat tworzy piosenki. Wiem też, że wielu ludzi na Kulcie się wychowywało (w tym między innymi ja), więc nie jest to jakaś tam pierwsza lepsza szmelcpaka. Kult to kawał historii polskiego rocka. Dobrego rocka. Dobrego do czasu... Mam przeczucie, że ten kawał skończył się już jakiś czas temu.

Salon Recreativo to zestaw zwyczajnych kultowych piosenek, dla tych, którym zwyczajne, kultowe piosenki i kazikowe paszczowe "aehehe" i "kabum" (choć tu nie pada) się nie znudziły. A może dla tych, którzy szukają dziury w całym albo dla zblazowanych po imprezce recenzentów? Nie wiem! Właśnie, właściwie to dla kogo jest ta płyta?

Strangeways zadebiutowało w 1986 r. swym "samozatytułowanym" albumem, bardzo ciepło przyjętym przez muzyczną prasę. Jako że były pewne nadzieje na podbój rynku amerykańskiego, formacja wydała jeszcze dwa wspaniałe krążki - wspomniane Native Sons (okrzyknięte przez magazyn Kerrang najlepszą AOR-ową płytą wszech czasów) i Walk In The Fire (w mojej osobistej ocenie jeszcze lepsze od poprzednika), gdzie pierwotnego wokalistę Tony'ego Lidella zastąpił Terry Brock. Nieco później Brock wyjechał do USA, by wstąpić w szeregi Deep Purple i choć ostatecznie nie został do tego zespołu przyjęty, do Wielkiej Brytanii jednak nie powrócił. Strangeways kontynuowało działalność bez Terry'ego, jego miejsce za mikrofonem zajął Ian Stewart, ale kolejno wydawane krążki nie były już tak dobre. Informacja o powrocie grupy wyciekła przy okazji oznajmienia składu, jaki miał wystąpić na festiwalu Firefest 2010, a całkiem udany solowy album Brocka o tytule Diamond Blue, jaki ukazał się dość niedaw

Austriacki zespół muzyczny wykonujący epicki black metal. Teksty większości utworów Summoning nawiązują do stworzonej przez J.R.R. Tolkiena mitologii Śródziemia, niejednokrotnie zawierając cytaty pochodzące z twórczości tego pisarza. Wyjątkami od tej reguły są albumy Stronghold i Let Mortal Heroes Sing Your Fame, na którym pojawia się też twórczość Michaela Moorcocka.

Nowością w twórczości Summoning jest również płyta Oath Bound, na której po raz pierwszy w historii zespołu ukazał się utwór napisany w całości w Czarnej Mowie Mordoru, zatytułowany Mirdautas Vras. Natomiast utwór w języku elfickim, zatytułowany Evernight, znalazł się na kolejnej płycie, Old Mornings Dawn.
