Prace nad trzecim dużym albumem Cynic trwały około pół roku. Ten czas został dobrze spożytkowany, bo album zatytułowany "Kindly Bent To Free Us" stanowi jeden z najmocniejszych punktów w dyskografii zespołu.

nna sprawa, że twórczość Cynic dotąd nie obfitowała w dużą liczbę wydawnictw. Można odnieść wrażenie, że wieloletnia kariera formacji - poddawana przecież częstym, licznym i długotrwałym perturbacjom - nie ułożyła się w sposób jaki można było oczekiwać od Paula Masvidala, Seana Reinerta i w mniejszym zakresie Seana Malone. The Varukers sound way too much like Discharge (I'm not saying that's a bad thing, I actually like them a little better than Discharge), even though Rat is in the current Discharge line-up. anyway, this CD is good. It sounds like Discharge and Exploited with Rat's vocals. I just got into this band and this probably might be an okay place to start but I would maybe try to look for their early stuff first.
