Grupa Symphony X, której Michael Romeo jest liderem, musiała chwilowo zrobić sobie przerwę. Przeszło rok temu, podczas trasy promującej nowy album Adrenaline Mob, w wypadku samochodowym ucierpiał wokalista obydwu formacji, Russell Allen*. Na szczęście niezbyt dotkliwie, choć z osobistych pobudek postanowił odpocząć od aktywnego koncertowania. W czasie, gdy frontman powoli wracał do zdrowia, Romeo skorzystał z pauzy i zabrał się za tworzenie materiału na swój drugi solowy krążek.

Od wydania debiutanckiego The Dark Chapter minęło już 14 lat, więc nasz wirtuoz mógł w końcu artystycznie się wyżyć.
