Zespół powstał w Bydgoszczy w marcu 1987r., kapelę wówczas tworzyło pięciu ludzi: Długi-voc, Bobik-git, Cymes-git, Soki-bas, Monter-dr. Pierwszy koncert dali w Solcu. W składzie tym działali krótko, bo do czerwca 87r., w tym miesiącu odchodzi Cymes. Grając we czterech zagrali kilkanaście koncertów m.in. Fala 88 w Lidzbarku Warmińskim. W marcu 88 dochodzi Student-sax (zagrali z nim 5 koncertów). W 88r. pojawili się na festiwalu w Jarocinie zdobywając duże uznanie punkowej publiczności. Pierwsze dwie demówki to prosty punk, natomiast trzecia nagrana w 1989r. pokazała początki zmiany stylistycznej, która wkrótce zaowocowała zmianą nazwy. W lata 90-te Kompania Karna wkroczyła już jako Schizma.
