Wszystko zaczęło się w październiku gdy wśród oi-owej załogi Sunderland-Newcastle powstaje zespół który po długich naradach przybiera nazwę Toy Dolls.
Początkowy skład prezentował się następująco : Peter "Zulu" Robson - śpiew, Michael "Olga" Algar - gitara, Philip "Flip" Dugdale - bas, Collin "Mr Scott" Scott - bębny.
Pierwszy koncert zespół zagrał 20 października w Millview Social Club w Sunderland i repertuar stanowiły aktualne przeboje ze zmienionymi tekstami.
Po koncercie 2 listopada w Horden Comrades z zespołu odchodzi Zulu który tworzy swój własny zespół Zulu and the heartaches.
Kolesie zaprosili wtedy do śpiewania Huda który zagrał z nimi jeden koncert i odszedł w niepamięć. Po jakimś czasie zespół dochodzi do wniosku że odtąd będzie grać
jako trio z Olgą na wokalu. Pierwszy koncert w tym składzie odbył się w Sunderla

U.K.SUBS, brytyjska legenda punk rocka świętuje swoje 40 urodziny!
Z tej okazji zespół wyruszył w miedzynarodową trasę koncertową, w której towarzyszy mu charyzmatyczny angielski wokalista i kompozytor TV.Smith.
W Polsce zagrają tylko dwa koncerty, a jeden z nich odbędzie się 31 stycznia we Wrocławiu w Sali Gotyckiej w Starym Klasztorze przy ul. Purkyniego 1.
UK Subs, U.K. Subs – angielska grupa punkrockowa, wpisująca się w historię punka od jego początków do czasów obecnych.
Założona w 1976 przez Charliego Harpera (ur. 1944), wokalistę związanego poprzednio ze scenę rhythm and blues. Początkowa nazwa brzmiała The Subversives, wkrótce
została skrócona do The Subs, a potem zmieniona na UK Subs, gdyż okazało się, że istnieje już zespół o nazwie The Subs. Zespół nękały częste zmiany składu.
