Co prawda dawni bohaterowie sceny muzycznej opuszczają nas ostatnio z dużą regularnością, w czym niewiele pozytywów, to jednego możemy im zazdrościć: w ich czasach były rzeczy realnie nowe. Dajmy na to w Niemczech. Zakładaliście taki na przykład duet Neu!, wybierając najbardziej znane niemieckie hasło promocyjne (poza może Angebot – ale nie wiem, czy jest taki zespół) – bezczelnie i z mocnym postanowieniem, że je spełnicie. Nie tylko jako grupa NOWA na początku, ale grupa, która NOWA pozostanie przez najbliższe lata. I okazuje się, że obietnica została spełniona. Po 50 latach od debiutanckiej płyty, zatytułowanej po prostu Neu!, która wyszła jakoś w marcu 1972 r. (musiałem więc zdążyć przed końcem miesiąca) – nie znam dokładnej, dziennej daty – album ten jest pamiątką zmiany. I ciągle jest o czym pisać.

Now a trio, after bassist Colin Edwin’s departure from the band, Steven Wilson, Gavin Harrison and Richard Barbieri take the listener on a journey through proggy soundscapes, resembling the atmosphere of 2005’s “Deadwing”, even though some parts of the effort seem to be comprised of leftovers from 2009’s “The Incident” cutting room floor. And I mean that with no demerit to the band. So, without further ado, let us dive into the music.

Weezer to amerykański zespół rockowy założony w 1992 roku w Los Angeles. Jego założycielami byli Rivers Cuomo, Patrick Wilson, Matt Sharp i Jason Cropper. W 1993 roku podpisali kontrakt z wytwórnią DGC (później Interscope), w której wydali większość swoich płyt. Podczas nagrań pierwszego albumu (The Blue Album) z zespołu został wyrzucony Jason Cropper. Jego miejsce zajął Brian Bell. Tak jak Toys In The Attic jest dla mnie wizytówką zespołu jeśli chodzi o lata 70-te, to Pump uważam, za najlepszego reprezentanta Aerosmith w całym późniejszym okresie. Zarówno pod względem komercyjnym jak i czysto muzycznym stanowi krok do przodu względem Permanent Vacation.

Zyskuje brzmienie, jest bardziej masywne, ciężkie a zarazem selektywne, dzięki czemu kompozycje takie jak Young Lust, F.I.N.E, Monkey On My Back czy Hoodoo/Voodoo Medicine Man brzmią mocno i potężnie. Jest zarówno energia, jak i nośna przebojowość. Jest wszystko to co chcielibyśmy słyszeć w komercyjnym hard rocku.

Niektóre utwory wzbogacone są o krótkie wstępy. Najbardziej charakterystyczny to chyba dudniący Water Song będący wprowadzeniem do Janie's Got a Gun, która to piosenka - trzeba przyznać - niesamowicie wpada w ucho. PURE BEDLAM to debiutujący zespół, którego początki sięgają tak naprawdę niemalże 20 lat wstecz. W latach 2001-2005 kuzyni Piotr Szopa (perkusja) i Adam Szopa (gitara) grali wspólnie w zespole, do którego w 2002 dołączył początkujący wokalista Wojciech Kałuża. Wtedy to grupa przyjęła nazwę Shapeless i przez jakiś czas była dość popularnym tworem na prężnie rozwijającej się wówczas rybnickiej scenie muzycznej. W 2005 Shapeless przestało istnieć, nie pozostawiając po sobie żadnych oficjalnych nagrań. Piotrek został perkusistą w rybnickim The October Leaves, Wojtek wyjechał do Katowic i tam dołączył do kształtującego się dopiero J. D. Overdrive, natomiast Adam zrobił sobie długą przerwę od muzyki. Ta nie trwała wiecznie – w styczniu 2018 zadebiutował projekt Adama o nazwie In2Elements. Na jego drugim albumie – “Cold” z 2019 – gościnnie w dwóch utworach zaśpiewał Wojtek, wówczas zaangażowany również w zespoły Mentor i Forge of Cloud

This release is collated from all of the BBC owned Lizzy recordings that still exist in the archive and charts the inexorable rise of the band: from the first steps as a three piece on the Decca label, to the glory days as one of the greatest live acts of all time. The BBC gave the band a platform and support at crucial stages in their career and thus "Thin Lizzy Live At The BBC" could be seen essentially as an alternate Greatest Hits, a musical growing up in public. Rainbow (also known as Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow or Blackmore's Rainbow) are a British rock supergroup, formed in London and Los Angeles in 1975 by guitarist Ritchie Blackmore. They were originally established with Ronnie James Dio's American rock band Elf, but after their self-titled debut album, Blackmore fired the backing members and continued with Dio. Rainbow recorded two more studio albums with Dio—Rising (1976) and Long Live Rock 'n' Roll (1978)—before he left the band to join Black Sabbath in 1979.

The relative sonic neglect suffered by the Eagles' catalog was the fault of the band's consistent success with the original albums and hits collections still selling year after year, why bother to upgrade? Finally, however, longtime Eagles producer Bill Szymczyk remastered their albums in 1999, and the band put together a box set. PURE BEDLAM to debiutujący zespół, którego początki sięgają tak naprawdę niemalże 20 lat wstecz. W latach 2001-2005 kuzyni Piotr Szopa (perkusja) i Adam Szopa (gitara) grali wspólnie w zespole, do którego w 2002 dołączył początkujący wokalista Wojciech Kałuża. Wtedy to grupa przyjęła nazwę Shapeless i przez jakiś czas była dość popularnym tworem na prężnie rozwijającej się wówczas rybnickiej scenie muzycznej. W 2005 Shapeless przestało istnieć, nie pozostawiając po sobie żadnych oficjalnych nagrań. Piotrek został perkusistą w rybnickim The October Leaves, Wojtek wyjechał do Katowic i tam dołączył do kształtującego się dopiero J. D. Overdrive, natomiast Adam zrobił sobie długą przerwę od muzyki. Ta nie trwała wiecznie – w styczniu 2018 zadebiutował projekt Adama o nazwie In2Elements. Na jego drugim albumie – “Cold” z 2019 – gościnnie w dwóch utworach zaśpiewał Wojtek, wówczas zaangażowany również w zespoły Mentor i Forge of Cloud
