Porcupine Tree are a progressive rock band formed by Steven Wilson in 1987 in Hemel Hempstead, UK. Grupa Symphony X, której Michael Romeo jest liderem, musiała chwilowo zrobić sobie przerwę. Przeszło rok temu, podczas trasy promującej nowy album Adrenaline Mob, w wypadku samochodowym ucierpiał wokalista obydwu formacji, Russell Allen*. Na szczęście niezbyt dotkliwie, choć z osobistych pobudek postanowił odpocząć od aktywnego koncertowania. W czasie, gdy frontman powoli wracał do zdrowia, Romeo skorzystał z pauzy i zabrał się za tworzenie materiału na swój drugi solowy krążek.

Od wydania debiutanckiego The Dark Chapter minęło już 14 lat, więc nasz wirtuoz mógł w końcu artystycznie się wyżyć.
