Hypocrisy - szwedzka grupa muzyczna wykonująca death metal. Powstała 1990 roku w Ludvika z inicjatywy Petera Tägtgrena, początkowo (do 1992 roku) występując pod nazwą Seditious. Do 2009 roku ukazało się jedenaście albumów grupy pozytywnie ocenianych zarówno przez publiczność jak i krytyków muzycznych. Muzyka Hypocrisy z biegiem lat ewoluowała z tradycyjnego death metalu w stronę melodic death metalu. W tekstach początkowo nawiązywała do takich zagadnień jak satanizm i antychrześcijanizm, a następnie zjawiska paranormalne, przemoc czy uzależnienie.

Wszechstronnie utalentowany Szwed, znany przede wszystkim z Hypocrisy, a ostatnio też ze współpracy z Tillem Lindemannem, zarejestrował materiał, który dobrze wpisuje się w dotychczasowe nagrania Pain. Znowu mamy tu do czynienia z industrialem i elektro mierzącym się z heavymetalowymi riffami, przy czym Peter Tagtgren z krążka na krążek konsekwentnie ogranicza te pierwsze środki na rzecz mocniejszego grania. W sumie więc w Pain wszystko się zgadza. "Coming Home" okazuje się bowiem logiczną konsekwencją wydanego przed pięcioma laty "You Only Live Twice".

W zawartości albumu można więc odnaleźć sporą grupę przebojowych i dynamicznych kompozycji, niekiedy dość ciężkich jak na standardy tego projektu ("Designed to Piss You Off"), ale w przewadze znajdują się tu numery o dość przystępnej formie ("Call Me", "Absinthe-Phoenix Rising", "Starseed"), czasem w wydaniu schizofrenicznych odjazdów po gatunkach leżących u podstaw projektu ("Pain In The Ass", "Final Crusade"). W sum

Był rok 1990, kiedy Judas Priest postawieni zostali przed sądem pod zarzutem spowodowania śmierci dwóch nastolatków. Powodem ich samobójstwa miały być podświadome rozkazy, zawarte w tekstach z albumu "Stained Class", a dokładnie z utworu "Beyond the realms of Death":
