Alright, I would first like to start off by saying that except for the vocals in the songs, everything on this DVD is in French. I don't speak French, but that doesn't matter. It was still great, even though I don't know the language.

Anyways, this is the first Crpytopsy DVD ever. We knew this, and they knew this. That's why they knew they had to make it damn well impressive, which is exactly what they did. At the beggining, the sound seems to be a little off and out of tune, as well as not very loud, but it transforms into greatness, as you know it would.

At the first real song, after the intro, Crown of Horns is just waiting to be heard. Lord Worm comes out in this leather jacket, resembling exactly what he is...one of the nastiest people on the earth. He takes out this golden cup and holds it up in a heavenly light glooming down upon it, making it look holy. But at the end, we learn it is everything but.

Całkiem niedawno pisząc tekst o jednym z wczesnych albumów Herbie Hancocka – „My Point Of View” OPISywałem zmiany personalne, które w zespole Milesa Davisa następowały w 1963 roku. Biografowie Milesa nazywają pewne składy wielkimi, kwintety genialnymi, nadając im numery, skazując tym samym na rodzaj niewypowiedzianego potępienia owe przejściowe i tymczasowe składy, jako muzycznie mniej wartościowe, no bo przecież gdzie takiemu Hankowi Mobleyowi do klasy Johna Coltrane’a. Takie porównania sensu nie mają, a z pozoru przypadkowe konfiguracje personalne mają swoje zalety, szczególnie w przypadku zespołów Milesa Davisa.

Największą zaletą słabszych, przynajmniej na papierze składów jest to, że sam Miles musiał brać na siebie trochę więcej obowiązków, bowiem im słabsi soliści, tym więcej musi grać lider. Regardless of how compatible this music is to your tastes, Christ--the Album is a great auditory epic of punk, politics, and protest. On each successive album Crass became less of a conventional punk band and more of a balls-out artistic unit. From the beginning, their albums were unconfined by the pressures of commercial appeal and conventional structure. Christ is a Dadaist collage of noise and statement: the utmost expression of the Crass project of multimedia agitprop. Without doubt, this hour-and-a-half monster is sprawling and disorienting. Like all other Crass albums though, this one engages the audience on more than a few levels and refuses to let go.

The first half is a basically a complete studio album in the Crass tradition of snarling belligerence towards church, state, patriarchy, and pretty much everything else. Unfortunately, this batch of songs isn't the best I've heard by the band. It's good Crass if you like

Amerykańska grupa muzyczna wykonująca metal progresywny. Powstała w 1982 roku w Hartford w stanie Connecticut pod nazwą Misfit. W skład zespołu weszli: wokalista John Arch, gitarzyści Jim Matheos i Victor Arduini, basista Joe DiBiase oraz perkusista Steve Zimmerman.
