...SIŁA I PIĘKNO MUZYKI TKWIĄ W JEJ RÓŻNORODNOŚCI...


W materiałach prasowych, dołączonych do promocyjnej wersji najnowszej płyty amerykańskich heavy/doom metalowców z ARGUS stoi, że „Beyond the Martyrs” podejmuje temat tam, gdzie wybrzmiały ostatnie dźwięki jej znakomitej poprzedniczki – „Boldly Stride the Doomed”. Czyli w ruinach Ouroboros. Trudno co prawda brać to dosłownie, bo kończący poprzedni krążek utwór „The Ruins Of Ouroboros” to krótka, instrumentalna suita, nijak dla załogi z Pensylwanii nie reprezentatywna, rzeczywiście jest to jednak w prostej linii kontynuacja wcześniej obranego kierunku. Heavy/doom/epic metalowa tradycja w najlepszym wydaniu.

Ostatnie zdanie odczytywać należy z dużym naciskiem na słowo „najlepszy”. No bo, rzeczywiście, pokażcie mi zespoły, którym ARGUS nie jest w stanie rzucić wyzwania (i wygrać konfrontacji)? MANOWAR ugrzązł na mieliznach, które chyba już tylko najwytrwalsi fani są w stanie zdzierżyć, DIO przeniósł się do lepszego ze światów, IR
