...SIŁA I PIĘKNO MUZYKI TKWIĄ W JEJ RÓŻNORODNOŚCI...


TesseracT to jedno z moich osobistych odkryć roku 2013 i wiem, że pewnie późno na tą djentową formację natrafiłem. Natrafiłem na nich przemierzając zakamarki YouTube i kanały większych i mniejszych wytwórni. Myślałem że znalazłem jakąś perełkę, ale jak się okazało później – formacja jest szufladzie „djent” bardzo dobrze znana. I nie tylko z roszad personalnych (naliczyłem 5 wokalistów na przestrzeni… dwóch albumów). Zapraszam do recenzji ich ostatniego wydawnictwa, czyli „Altered State”.

Pierwszy krążek TesseracT, czyli „One” bardzo mi się spodobał, choć poznałem go w drugiej kolejności, ale nie przykuł on uwagi na tak długi czas jak najnowsze dzieło Brytyjczyków. Dlaczego? Ano przede wszystkim z powodu wokalu, który nie do końca mi leżał. Według większości recenzentów był to growl, jednak według mnie sposób śpiewania byłego już wokalisty Daniela Tompkinsa bardziej zbliżał się do krzyku znanego z zespołów core’owych. A ja tak

Nad koncertowym epitafium Judas Priest trzeba się mocno pokłonić, bo prawie dwuipółgodzinny występ zespołu w londyńskim Hammersmith Apollo to rzecz o dużym ciężarze gatunkowym. Choćby dlatego, że raz jeszcze można krzyknąć: The Priest is back!

Takich okazji nie będzie już wcale, a jeśli w ogóle to z pewnością bez tych wszystkich wyjątkowych okoliczności, które heavy metalowej legendzie towarzyszyły w Londynie. Wszak od razu trzeba napisać, że gdy muzycy Judas Priest 26 maja 2012 roku stanęli na deskach Hammersmith Apollo, mieli za sobą 120 zagranych koncertów w ramach World Epitaph Tour! Od 7 czerwca 2011 roku dwukrotnie odwiedzili Europę (w tym dwa razy Katowice), obie Ameryki oraz Azję. To musi robić wrażenie, szczególnie gdy weźmiemy pod uwagę fakt, że suma wieku wszystkich muzyków Judas Priest mocno przekroczyła 250 lat, a średnią i tak zaniża Richie Faulkner.
