Legendarny album amerykańskiej grupy pochodzącej z Detroit. Nagrany w 1976 roku, ale wydany dopiero w 2009 roku, z uwagi na to, że zespół nie chciał zgodzić się na namowy wytwórni, aby zmienić nazwę zespołu, która wydawała się mało atrakcyjna sprzedażowo. Oryginalnie miało powstać 12 utworów, ale kiedy wytwórnia wycofała się z umowy, zdołano nagrać jedynie 7 utworów. Grupę tworzyli trzej bracia: David Hackney (gitary), Bobby Hackney (wokal, bas) i Dannis Hackney (bębny). Podobnie jak The Stooges, Death również określany jest mianem zespołu proto-punkowego, choć ich muzyka jest zdecydowanie bardziej „przyswajalna” od dokonań Iggy’ego Popa.

Wątpię, aby Marię Peszek obeszło, że przyległa do niej łatka „naczelnej polskiej skandalistki”. No bo cóż poradzić na kalki myślowe blednące w obliczu artystki, która potrafi ubrać w słowa niezgodę na rzeczywistość, która tak mocno jej (i nie tylko jej) doskwiera w Polsce. Nieprzebrane przykłady z historii muzyki zaświadczają, że to najlepsza platforma do buntowania się. Piąty album wokalistki ukazuje się pod znamiennym tytułem „Ave Maria”.

Nie jest to pierwszy religijny odnośnik w dorobku artystki. Warto choćby przypomnieć płytę „Jezus Maria Peszek” z 2012 roku. Potem był jeszcze „Karabin” w 2016 r. Rok 2021 zasługiwał więc na nowy album Peszek. Szczególnie, że wszyscy nosimy w sobie ślady po poprzednim.

Gdy pierwszy raz przeczytałem informację o tym, że Rob Halford, Metal God, legendarny wokalista nie mniej legendarnego Judas Priest postanowił nagrać płytę z... piosenkami świątecznymi to lekko zgłupiałem. Metal i święta? Halford bawiący się w Krawczyka śpiewającego kolędy i pastorałki?!?! Widać za wcześnie stwierdziłem, że po "Nostradamusie", katastrofalnej ostatniej płycie Judas Priest, nic głupszego muzykom tej formacji już się nie może zdarzyć popełnić.

Tym bardziej moje niechętne podejście do "Winter Songs" potęgował fakt, że ja naprawdę czekałem na trzecią solową płytę ekipy spod szyldu Halford. Od wydania "Crucible" śledziłem wieści i newsy dotyczące odkładanej wciąż premiery roboczo nazwanego albumu "3" i oczekiwałem ponownie mięsa, stali i zapachu spalin. Mad Monster Sound to niemiecka grupa ska-punkowa, powstała w 1990 roku. Początkowo grali bardziej muzykę punkową, jednakże z czasem zaczęło pojawiać się coraz więcej elementów ska i reggae.
